Beijing 3B satellite has an upgraded version called
Compared to the Tianzhu camera carried by the Beijing 3A satellite, the performance of the Tianshu camera is even higher, with a larger lens aperture and brighter brightness. It can recognize targets as small as 0.5 meters from thousands of miles away, making it a "thousand mile eye". Wang Jinqiang, the project manager of Tianshu Camera at 508 Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology Group Fifth Academy, introduced that the camera adopts an ultra long focal length optical lens, and the resolution has reached the highest level of commercial remote sensing in China at present. It can perform push scan imaging like a scanner, format imaging like a DSLR camera, and smoothly perform video imaging.

The orbit of
Beijing 3B satellite has increased by more than 100 kilometers compared
to A satellite. Although it stands high, it can see wide and clearly.
The camera has increased its focal length to accommodate higher orbits;
Expanded the spectral range of panchromatic imaging, absorbed more
spectral information, more conducive to color fusion images, and
enriched color details; By increasing the aperture of the main mirror,
the large aperture lens can further enhance the ability to collect light
and improve resolution; The optical system has added distortion
eliminating optical elements, further eliminating the residual
distortion in the end.When
assembling and adjusting precision aerospace optical lenses, the
influence of gravity is crucial. Typically, the surface shape of a few
tens of wavelengths caused by gravity can lead to assembly failure. In
order to ensure the assembly safety of the "Thousand Mile Eye", the
development team has also explored world-class vertical adjustment
technology, which enables the adjustment of high-quality lenses to
overcome the influence of ground gravity. The
Tianshu camera also has a smarter "brain", which adopts a large number
of advanced intelligent chips, greatly improving the level of
intelligence and autonomy. It uses the same high-performance CPU as the
satellite "brain" to achieve intelligent optimal imaging parameters,
making shooting easier and having self correction capability. The camera
can also automatically focus, allowing for clear focus on targets
ranging from tens of kilometers to deep space objects billions of
kilometers away. The highway for data transmission is also constantly
expanding, with speeds more than twice as fast as the Tianyu camera.
