China Arab Beidou Cooperation Forum releases joint statement

The joint statement reviewed the various work carried out within the framework of the first forum, highlighting the fruitful achievements of China and Arab countries in jointly building the Beidou/GNSS center, conducting education and training activities, and promoting precision agriculture projects.The statement emphasizes that both China and Arab countries will establish a permanent secretariat for the forum, work together to strengthen the forum mechanism, and clarify that they will continue to cooperate in areas such as application industrialization, education and training, testing and evaluation, technology research and development, and Beidou augmentation system.During this forum, China and Arab countries also jointly released the test and evaluation results of the Beidou system in the Arab region. This activity mainly relies on the China Arab Beidou/GNSS Center and has conducted static and dynamic testing and evaluation in Arab countries such as Tunisia, Egypt, and Kuwait. The analysis results show that on average, more than eight Beidou satellites can be seen in Arab countries, with a positioning accuracy of better than 10 meters, which can provide high-quality satellite navigation services for Arab countries in various fields.
