Time synchronization center based on Beidou-3 to achieve China Czech time comparison

Recently, researchers from the Time and Frequency Reference Laboratory of the National Time Service Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences realized the Asia Europe long baseline international time comparison between China's time benchmark UTC (NTSC) and the Czech time benchmark UTC (TP) by using the Beidou-3 satellite and the dual frequency common view method. In the current situation where the number of Beidou-3 common view visible satellites is half that of Beidou-2, the common view comparison accuracy has reached 1.2ns, an improvement of about 19%.In the past two years, the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) has been actively promoting the application of Beidou in international atomic time calculation. The Time Service Center has collaborated with major time-frequency research institutions such as the German Institute of Physical Technology (PTB), the Spanish Naval Observatory (ROA), and the Royal Observatory of Belgium (ORB) to conduct Beidou-2 international time comparison research. The results of the international time comparison between China and the Czech Republic have verified that Beidou-3 has a significant improvement in time comparison performance compared to Beidou-2, providing technical support for the formal inclusion of Beidou-3 in the calculation of international atomic time.
