It is reported that over the past two years since its launch, the Beidou-3 global system has gradually formed a good situation of deep application and large-scale development in industries such as transportation, public safety, disaster relief and reduction, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery, as well as in the construction of power, water conservancy, and communication infrastructure.According to the 2022 White Paper on the Development of China's Satellite Navigation and Location Services Industry, the overall output value of China's satellite navigation and location services industry reached 469 billion yuan in 2021. The research results of the Beidou Spatiotemporal Technology Research Institute of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association indicate that the total number of Beidou system applications in the industry is constantly increasing. As of the end of June 2022, nearly 2 million sets of Beidou equipment have been applied in the national security field represented by public security and emergency response, and nearly 12 million sets of Beidou equipment have been applied in key industries represented by transportation, energy, and finance.

On the other hand, the navigation positioning and location service industry will be regarded as an important area for the high-quality development of the geographic information industry. The Beidou application monitoring in the natural resources field will be carried out on a regular basis, and the Beidou system application ecology in the natural resources field will be comprehensively constructed to support geological surveys, assist in disaster monitoring, and serve marine affairs. At the same time, the Beidou short message application will be promoted.
