Return of the King! The Long March 5 Y3 carrier rocket is expected to go around on the evening of December 27th

On December 25th, Dongfang Net reported that after two years, China's largest rocket, the Long March 5, has once again received attention for resuming flight after experiencing "setbacks". According to the official website of the People's Government of Wenchang City, Hainan Province, some roads in Wenchang City will implement traffic control from the 27th, and various sports, entertainment, advertising and flying activities will be prohibited from December 25th to 28th.

The reporter learned from relevant channels that the launch time of the Long March 5 Y3 carrier rocket is expected to be between 20:30 on December 27th and 00:41 on December 28th. At that time, China's latest generation of geostationary orbit communication satellite "Dongfanghong-5" platform technology verification satellite (Shijian 20) will be launched.

In October 2006, China officially launched the engineering research and development of the Long March 5 carrier rocket. As the rocket with the largest carrying capacity in China at present, the Long March 5 can significantly enhance China's ability to independently enter space, and is considered an important symbol of China's transition from a "space power" to a "space power".
On November 3, 2016, the Long March 5 rocket successfully made its maiden flight. On July 2, 2017, the Long March 5 Yao-2 rocket was launched from Wenchang and experienced a sudden malfunction at 346 seconds, resulting in the failure of the mission.
After two years of dormancy, on December 21st of this year, the Long March 5 Y3 carrier rocket completed its technical work at the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Hainan and was vertically transported to the launch area. After conducting rocket function checks and joint testing to confirm the final state, propellant will be added and the launch will be carried out as planned.
China plans to carry out the third phase of the Chang'e-5 lunar exploration mission, the first Mars exploration mission, and manned space station mission next year, all of which will be undertaken by the Long March 5 spacecraft. People are full of expectations for the return flight of Long March 5.
